Current Situation
Africa faces significant challenges in accessing essential medicines, which is critical for improving health outcomes across the continent. Key issues include:

Limited Availability: Many countries experience shortages of essential medicines due to inadequate supply chains, regulatory barriers, and limited local manufacturing capabilities.

High Costs: The cost of medicines remains prohibitively high for many, particularly in low-income communities. This economic barrier often leads to patients being unable to afford life-saving treatments.

Healthcare Infrastructure: Weak healthcare systems and insufficient funding hinder the distribution of medicines, especially in rural areas where access is most needed.
